We are a small team of committed volunteers who attend Middlebury College.
Cameron communicates directly with customers to ensure that their Middlebury Foods experience is the best it can be. She believes food can be an amazing uniting force and is excited to help as many people as possible gain access to healthy, fresh food.
Liza joined Middlebury Foods in September of 2016, immediately after volunteering for her first delivery—she fell in love with the people and the purpose of the organization. She is responsible for the recruitment and organization of volunteers, as well as overseeing delivery week operations. She joined MiddFoods to address food insecurity and food injustice in the community, believing that everyone should have access to healthy, affordable food. She is studying Philosophy and Religion and Middlebury.
Charlie Mitchell ’18 has served as co-Chief Administrative Officer at Middlebury Foods since May of 2015. He has since helped the organization achieve 501(c)3 status and process SNAP benefits. He has been interested in food since he started working for a farm at age 14, and is currently pursuing an Independent Scholar degree in Food Systems.
Mike ’18.5, a summer manager, has worked with Middlebury Foods and served as the Chief Procurement Officer since November of 2015. Driven by a passion for sharing wholesome food, he designs bag contents and works with amazing farmers and producers to distribute their delicious products into the hands of their fellow Addison County citizens. Mike currently studies Environmental Science and Geography.
Carson joined Middlebury Foods in the fall of 2015. Her main responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of our SNAP benefits payment program, assisting with procurement, and coordinating outreach and advertising efforts. She is an Environmental Policy Major at Middlebury College.
Thomas joined Middlebury Foods in September of 2015. He manages the website and focuses on operations efficiency and scaling preparation for the organization. He has been fascinated by the potential for a healthy, localized food system ever since he spent time working on a farm in North Carolina. He is a Conservation Psychology major at Middlebury College.
Rachel is a freshman at Middlebury and joined the Middlebury Foods team in the summer of 2016 as a summer manager. She now works on social media, graphic design, communications, and community outreach. She believes in helping everyone find access to healthy and affordable food and can't wait to continue working with the team and the community here in Addison County. She plans on majoring in Environmental Policy
Mike is a senior and joined the Midd Foods team in 2015 because of his passion for local and healthy food. He is part of the Development Team and works on community outreach. Mike spends likes to spend his time reading, cooking, and exploring the outdoors. He is studying neuroscience at Middlebury.
Bianca joined Midd Foods in September of 2016 after finally hearing about the organization in her final year at Middlebury College. She is excited to help with all things data, including finances and specific customer data-analysis. Bianca is interested in migrant workers' access to healthy foods and hopes to use her hispanic heritage to support the team in this capacity, too. She is a senior Geography major at Middlebury College.
Emma joined Middlebury Foods in January 2015 and became co-CAO in May of 2015. She is responsible for planning deliveries, organizing volunteers, and long term development and outreach. She is interested in food justice because she knows how food can bring people together, and believes that everyone has the fundamental right to good, healthy food. She is currently studying political science and geography.
Alex is a junior at Middlebury and is studying Political Science and French. He has been working in restaurants since he was twelve, and believes that accessible, good food that can be shared is the key to a happy, healthy lifestyle. He was a summer manager and spends most of his time working directly with customers and community members.
Anna Cerf ’18 is a junior at Middlebury studying Geography and Environmental Science. She is involved with the Operations team for Middlebury Foods and is responsible for documenting our work and creating promotional materials. Since high school, she has worked in restaurants and has gained an interest in food accessibility and nutrition. She is very interested in food justice and sustainability in Addison County and beyond.
